Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

We do not offer refunds/ exchanges for the following reasons:

Due to Health and Hygiene reasons we cannot accept return or exchange on pierced earrings.

if you change your mind, please choose carefully.

custom orders; you will receive an email showing the final design, once you give your approval of the design the sale is considered final and not eligible for a refund.

if you make an error in the wording or spelling of a personalised item, please proof check the final design sent to you carefully.

damage to an item once it been unpacked.

if you ordered the product as a gift and the recipient doesn’t like it.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

At Maris Herr Collections, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of each handmade piece. We want you to love your purchase, but if something isn’t quite right, here’s what you need to know:

Change of Mind

As a small, independent designer/maker, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind purchases. Please choose carefully and feel free to contact us with any questions before placing your order.

Faulty or Damaged Items

In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if a product is:

  • Faulty or damaged

  • Not as described

  • Not fit for purpose

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order, including photos and a description of the issue. We will work with you to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Custom or Made-to-Order Items

Please note that custom or made-to-order items are not eligible for return unless faulty, as these are created specifically for you.

How to Request a Return

To initiate a return for a faulty item, please email [your email address] with:

  • Your name and order number

  • Description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the fault or damage

If approved, you may be asked to return the item before a refund, replacement, or repair is provided. Return postage costs for faulty items will be covered by Maris Herr Collections.
